Shinji Aramaki
His first breakout film was APPLESEED (2004), which made his name as a great anime director along with Katsuhiro Otomo and Mamoru Oshii. John Woo produced his following film APPLESEED EX-MACHINA (2007). His latest film SPACE PIRATE CAPTAIN HARLOCK (2013) was praised by James Cameron as 'mythic, epic, and visually unprecedented' and received the Best Animation Feature Film Award at the Japan Academy Awards.
