Introduction
TV series, broadcast on NHK. Adventure action, based on Jules Verne's “20,000 Leagues under the Sea” and “The Mysterious Island”. Although trying to stay true to the preceding screenplay, Anno gradually added his own ideas to arrange it in his way. His good friend Shinji Higuchi directed episodes 23 to 33. Ten episodes, selected by Anno out of the total 39 episodes, will be screened.
