We welcome Azusa Okamoto and Harry Sugiyama as this year’s Festival Navigators.
Through the film festival, they will introduce the enjoyment of movies to the younger generation.
Azusa Okamoto
Born in Aichi Prefecture on June 21, 1992, she performs as a model exclusively for the magazine “non-no”, and as an actress.
Okamoto appeared in films such as Mobile Police THE MOVIE3: Morning Musume Rescue Operation! The Secret of Pandora’s Box (2011) directed by Hiroshi Ando, Sentimental Yasuko (2012) directed by Kei Horie, A.F.O -All For One- and Eight Ranger 2 directed by YukihikoTsutsumi (both 2014).
Currently, she appears in the TV drama series, “The Kindaichi Files N“, and regularly on a news program, “Going!” Sports & News (both on the Nippon Television Network).
Harry Sugiyama
Born in Tokyo, Harry left Japan to the traditional English education system aged 11. In 1998 he started his time at the oldest public school in England, Winchester College.
After two GAP years in Japan to remind himself of his origin he commenced his Chinese studies at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies), London University.
A year in Beijing Normal University was spent, followed by modeling work allowing him to bounce from Japan to China to the UK. Harry started his TV career in 2008 with Space Shower TV.
Having experienced a year presenting Asian news on NHK, he currently presents on “Nonstop!” and “MONDAY FOOTBALL R” (FUJI TV) and works as a radio DJ with J-WAVE (“HELLO WORLD“). He also serves as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Food is Great Campaign by the British Embassy in Tokyo.
